About Training
Who are in-person sessions for?
In-person training is designed for busy adults who want to get fitter, build confidence, and learn real striking skills in a supportive environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, sessions are tailored to your level. It’s especially popular with parents getting back into fitness and professionals looking for structured accountability.
What will we work on in training sessions?
Sessions focus on fitness, striking technique, endurance, coordination, power, and confidence. Depending on your goals, you may work on boxing fundamentals, kickboxing basics, pad work, movement, defense, conditioning, and skill development.
What does a typical boxing training session look like?
Most sessions follow a structured flow: warm-up, technique work, drills or pad work, conditioning, and a cooldown. Every session is built around your current goals, fitness level, and experience – no two sessions are identical.
Will the training sessions be a hard workout?
Yes, but matched to your level. Some sessions are more technique-focused, while others push conditioning and endurance. The goal is smart, effective training – not just exhausting you for the sake of it.
Getting Started
Do I need experience to start boxing training?
No. Beginners are welcome. Coach Reggie breaks everything down step by step so you can learn proper technique safely and build confidence as you improve. Most clients start with zero experience.
What if I’m out of shape or haven’t exercised in a long time?
That’s completely fine. Sessions are adjusted to your current fitness level. The goal is to help you improve steadily without feeling overwhelmed. You don’t need to “get fit first” – that’s what the training is for.
What if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Exercises and drills can be modified for certain limitations or past injuries, including wrist, shoulder, or back issues. Before your first session, you’ll discuss anything Coach Reggie should know so training can be adjusted from day one.
Is boxing training safe for beginners?
Safety is a priority. Coach Reggie coaches proper technique, ensures you have enough space to move safely, and adjusts drills based on your ability and comfort level. There is no sparring in the program – all drills are designed for technique development and fitness.
How do I know if private boxing training is right for me?
If you want to get in shape, learn real striking skills, and train in a supportive but challenging environment, this is a great fit. It’s especially ideal for busy adults who want efficient, purposeful training with individual attention – not a generic group class.
